What is Keum Boo?

Keum Boo is an ancient Korean gilding technique that bonds thin sheets of 24K gold to fine silver using heat and pressure. The result is a permanent bond between the two metals. Because the gold is applied by hand, each pair has slight variations that make it uniquely its own.
